All other updates for the Mac are free, unless some crackpot company writes software for the Mac and asks for money when they release an update. Haven’t seen it happen yet, but it could. By the way, the last OS update (Lion) cost $30. Pretty sure Windows users need to pay at least double if not more to update to a new version of their OS.
